The Soul of a Home

I love spending time at my mom and dads. They have created an oasis in their backyard and I love rocking on their back porch. It is a great place to get inspired because of all the "purty" things around.

I have heard it said that the kitchen is the heart of a home and the porch is the soul. That seems to be true because the porch at my parents home is peaceful, giving, and lovely....just like they are. You can sit for hours listening to the birds sing and the water trickle from one of the fountains.

I just love this cute little bar cart painted pink. It will be great for entertaining this summer. I can see it now serving some refreshing sweet tea and strawberry daiquiri's.

This leads into their backyard. My talented brother in law built this.

My brother in law also built the pergola with swing.

This little guy is named Robin, after my parents son who died before I was born. Each one of my moms flower gardens is named after one of who loved ones who have passed away.

My sister is also so very talented. This is her Spring mantel. I see my "deddy" in the mirror....hehehe.

I hope this inspires you as much as it does me.

High Point Market Recap III - Sophistication, Trendy, and Cocktails.

I have finally come to the end of the High Point Market Recaps. I finish it off with Bernhardt, Togar Rugs, Mastour Rugs, Stray Dog Designs, and Arteriors.

Bernhardt
Fine craftsmanship, unique materials, thoughtful details all make Bernhardt Interiors simply marvelous. They have effortless sophistication. The showroom was huge and so amazing!! It was so big that I got lost....haha.

Gold round mirrors and look at that bar cart!!

Smooth, clean lined, sleek, and those gold hardware!

Love the bar tray on the coffee table.

Black and white art with black frames and gold trim! This is one of my favorites from Market.

Carpets and Cocktails
Togar Rugs
My friend Kendell and I enjoyed our Mimosas while viewing some beautiful rugs from Togar Rugs.

Mastour Rugs
Love the geometric designs on these rugs

Stray Dog Designs
Inspired by life, made by hand. The showroom was filled with fun, funky, hip, and trendy designs.

Arteriors
Simply fabulous!

I loved this window display as we strolled through market.

Thank you LOLOI for the great bag to hold all of the resource cards and booklets that I collected. LOLOI has a fabulous Palm Springs collection of indoor/outdoor rugs by Dann Foley.

Ready for Fall Market already! Can't wait until October.

High Point Market Recap - Thibaut and Oomph

High Point Market is full of delicious designs that will sharpen your senses. It is jam packed with forms, styles, and ideas that will inspire and make you drool.

There are over 2,000 exhibitors presenting tens of thousands of new products. It is where the leading retail experts and world class designers present their latest and best and I loved every second of it.

For the next couple of days, I will be sharing some of the things that caught my eye.

I will start with Thibaut and Oomph. They are first on my list because of their fresh, inspiring color palettes and classic style. They were extremely pleasant and helpful in their showroom during my visit. Thibaut is the nation's oldest continuously operating wallpaper firm. They also have fabulous fabric and furniture. They have collaborated with Oomph to bring bright, fun aesthetic designs that seem to be made for each other. Oomph offers tables, pillow, chairs, and more and all their products are made in America.
